site.btaMoroccan Runner Chaaboud Wins 2022 Wizz Air Sofia Marathon

Runner Mohamed Chaaboud of Morocco won the 2022 Wizz Air Sofia Marathon, clocking 2:13.38 hrs. Second and third came two athletes from Kenya, Serem Naaman with 2:18.04, and Chemveno Kiprono with 2:19.29. 

Runner Shaban Mustafa performed the best among the Bulgarians in the men's race, placing seventh with 2:34.30.

In the women's race first came Cheboy Jepkosgei [name may be misspelled] from Kenya, followed by Ayele Meseret Engidu from Ethiopia with 2:45.57, and Kaenya Nyeri, also from Kenya, with 3:00.37. Bulgarian runner Tanya Dimitrova placed fourth with 3:00.41.

Nearly 4,000 participants ran in the three distances in the Wizz Air Sofia Marathon on Sunday.
