site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,147 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at Nearly 15%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,271,228, after 7,729 tests identified 1,147 new infections on Monday, of which 61.29% were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 14.8%.

The active cases are 10,408. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 679, including 54 in intensive care. 

Another 1,946 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,223,025.

Eleven fatalities were reported (63.64% of them unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 37,795.

With 884 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,566,772 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
