site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 630 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 11.4%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,272,645, after 5,539 tests identified 195 new infections on Wednesday, of which 61.27% were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 11.37%.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 224 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 53 cases and Varna Region with 39.

The active cases are 10,339. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 692, including 58 in intensive care.

Another 765 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,224,494.

Eleven fatalities were reported (90.91% unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 37,812.

With 1,413 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,569,732 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
