Russia has announced sanctions against another 15 companies of the Bulgarian military-industrial complex. They fall within the scope of fresh sanctions published by the Russian government on Tuesday.
Moscow said that it prohibits deals between Russian legal entities and 74 companies from 11 countries, including Bulgaria, Canada, Czechia, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, the UK and US. The ban is part of retaliatory sanctions on deals related to military-technical cooperation with organizations from unfriendly countries, according to a statement published on the government's website.
The Bulgarian companies are: Arsenal, VMZ Sopot, Arcus, Dunarit, Terem, Balkanrose Trading, Balkan Hunter, EL Cart, EIM Trade, UMT, Sage Consultants, Hartford International Group, Metalika-AB and Emko.
The previous Russian sanctions were announced in May.
One in five companies from the list of counter-sanctions is Bulgarian.
The largest number of companies, 22, are German.
