site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 397 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 6.44%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,285,645, after 6,164 tests identified 397 new infections on Monday, 60.96% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 6.44%.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 110 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 39.

The active cases are 7,241. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 450, including 46 in intensive care. Of the 76 new hospital admissions, 61.84% were not vaccinated.

Another 757 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing total recoveries to 1,240,394.

Thirteen fatalities were reported, 53.85% of them unvaccinated, bringing the death toll to 38,010.

A total of 4,592,347 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,073,989 people are fully vaccinated, and 929,626 have received a booster jab (including 56,057 with an adapted vaccine).
