The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,285,855 after 4,157 tests identified 210 new infections on Friday, of which 71.43% were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 5.05%.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 41 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 22 cases and Varna Region with 20.

The active cases are 7,147. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 459, including 48 in intensive care. Of the 60 new hospital admissions, 70.00% were not vaccinated.

The infected medical staff have reached 26,216

Another 299 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,240,693.

Five fatalities was reported (100.00% unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 38,015.

With 739 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,593,086 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,074,021 people are fully vaccinated, and 930,323 have received a booster jab (including 57,754 reboostered).
