The Bulgarian women’s national aesthetic group gymnastics team won its first world title at the 2022 World Championships in Graz, Austria.

The Bulgarian team, including Hristiana Kovacheva, Karina Neykova, Viktoria Berova, Daria Kapsazova, Maria Mehlemova, Yana Staykova, Sibila Kapracheva, Siyana Tabakova and Rada Kutli, ended the domination of Russian and Finnish teams, claiming the gold at the tournament.

The Bulgarians, head coached by Kristina Tasheva, finished with a best score of 38.550 points (19.050 points in the qualification and 19.500 points in the final).

This is first world title for Bulgaria in the history of aesthetic group gymnastics.
