None of the public companies in Bulgaria's defence industry will manufacture any special-purpose output to be provided as aid to Ukraine, caretaker Economy and Industry Minister Nikola Stoyanov said here on Wednesday during a hearing of the parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy and Innovation.

Stoyanov stressed that the Bulgarian defence industry will not be involved in the production of ammunition or any other new production whatsoever intended for Ukraine. He specified that the Defence Ministry has analysed the available stocks and has determined what can be spared without jeopardizing the combat worthiness of the armed forces and their capability to defend the country, and this will reckon with the needs declared by Ukraine.

The Economy Minister declined to comment on the value of the military aid and said that the Minister of Defence should be asked about that.
