The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) has a press club on board the first Bulgarian military research/survey vessel (RSV) Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii, scheduled to sail from Varna to Antarctica after noon on December 27.
BTA’s Daily News editor Konstantin Karagyozov will be on board, reporting from aboard the ship, from the St. Kliment Ohridski Bulgarian Antarctic Base and on the way back.
His reports will feature on BTA's website in a section entitled "Bulgaria - Antarctica: BTA's Log". The voyage is expected to last four months, and the vessel will take 40 days to reach Livingston Island.
Besides the one on board the Bulgarian research vessel, BTA also has media outlets in Sofia and in 21 regional centres across the country, with plans to open ones in all 28 regions by the end of 2023. One in Kazanlak, in the Valley of Roses, was opened as well. BTA also has four press clubs abroad – in Bucharest (Romania), Bosilegrad (Serbia), Skopje (Macedonia), and Taraclia (Moldova).
