site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 199 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 9.07%

A total of 199 new COVID-19 cases were identified by 2,193 tests on Friday. The test positivity rate now stands at 9.07%, show data posted on https://coronavirus.bg. 

A total of 357 in hospital with COVID-19 infections, 34 of whom are in intensive care. There were 59 new hospital admissions on Friday. 

A total of 277 people recovered from the infection, bringing the total number of recoveries since the pandemic started to 1,250,179.

The active cases as of Friday stood at 3,748. 

A total of 171 vaccine doses against the coronavirus were administered, bringing the total number of doses since the vaccination campaign started to 4,603,029.

Two patients with a confirmed COVID-19 infection have died, bringing the total number of fatalities to 38,106.
