An ethnic Bulgarian, native of the Zaporizhzhia region, draws landscapes on missile and shell fragments, Anya Terzivetz, host of 'The Voice of the Bulgarians' on the "Suspilne Odessa" Public TV told BTA.

Vadim Mitkov has been into fine arts ever since he was a child. Years ago, he obtained technical education and today he manages a printing press. Mitkov stays true to his hobby, which he has taken to a professional level. He has regularly taken part in Ukrainian art exhibitions, local and national alike.

Vadim paints romantic landscapes, portraits, and symbolic imagery on fragments of shells and missiles.

'I would rather be painting calm landscapes on a familiar canvas. However, believing in our victory, I decided to turn the evil into positive energy', the author stated. His works are being sold via charity auction and the revenues will support the Ukrainian army. The first auction with Vadim's works managed to raise around UAH 2,000.

The artist plans on hosting an exhibition of painted weaponry fragments to emphasize the grave situation in Ukraine and for the world to see that the Ukrainians know how to turn war into art.
