The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,293,491, after 5,553 tests identified 230 new infections on Monday, 58.70% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 4.14%.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 75 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 21 and Plovdiv Region with 20.

The active cases are 4,092. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 369, including 39 in intensive care. Of the 43 new hospital admissions, 79.07% were not vaccinated.

63 recoveries and 5 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.

With 289 new inoculations in the last 24 hours, 4,604,146 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,075,025 people are fully vaccinated, and 940,161 have received a booster jab (including 67,592 reboostered).
