site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 30 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 3.1%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,294,848 after 975 tests identified 30 new infections on Saturday, January 21, according to data posted on coronavirus.bg. The test positivity rate for the day was 3.1%.

The active cases are 3,369. Currently, hospitalized patients number 336, including 46 in intensive care. Five people were admitted to hospital on Saturday.

Eight recoveries were reported in 24 hours. A total of 1,253,319 people have recovered from the infection since the start of the pandemic. No new fatalities were reported on Saturday, and the death toll remained at 38,160.

With 10 new inoculations on Saturday, 4,606,127 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
