site.btaRSV 421 Maintains Good Speed towards South America 

The Bulgarian military research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (NAVAL RSV 421) continues its south-southwesterly course towards South America's easternmost shores on the 28th day of its journey to Antarctica. 

Despite being shaken a little by waves of 3-4 degrees Douglas on the morning of January 23, RSV 421 and moderate winds of 10 m/s, the ship managed to maintain an average speed of 8.5-9 knots. 

RSV 421 is some 2,500 nautical miles away from Mar del Plata. The Argentine port, located close to Buenos Aires, will be the ship's second stop on its way to the Sv. Kliment Ohridski Bulgarian Antarctic Base on Livingston Island.
