site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 116 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 2.2%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,294,987, after 5,265 tests identified 116 new infections on Monday, 60.34% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 2.2%.

The active cases are 3,270. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 323, including 42 in intensive care. Of the 45 hospital admissions, 75.56% were not vaccinated.

Another 215 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,253,550.

Four fatalities were reported, all of whom unvaccinated, and the death toll now adds up to 38,167.

With 126 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,606,253 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
