site.btaJustice Minister Receives Assurance from the United States on Judicial Reform

Caretaker Justice Minister Krum Zarkov received assurance from US Coordinator on Global Antti-Corruption Richard Nephew that the United States continue to support Bulgaria's efforts to implement the necessary reforms in the area of the rule of law, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) posted on its Facebook page on Tuesday.

Zarkov and Nephew discussed the current challenges facing Bulgaria and the region, and the opportunities to cooperate with the US to overcome them, the publication said.

Zarkov is in the United States in the context of the Summits for Democracy initiated by the US President and is participating in the contact group preparing the second Summit, taking place in spring 2023. Additional meetings at the State Department and the Department of Justice are planned during the visit.
