site.btaNo Leak of Personal Data after Cyber Attack against Employment Agency

No personal data has leaked in the cyber attack against the website of the Employment Agency, e-Government Minister Georgi Todorov said on Bulgarian National Television Tuesday.

Monday afternoon, the Agency reported technical problems with some of its information systems and its website.

The hacker attack took place late last Sunday, affecting a considerable part of the Agency database, said Todorov. He said that the authorities took immediate action to protect the information and nothing has been lost. He said that the experts are still working to deal with the consequences of the attack.

An investigation is underway and the Directorate General for Combatting Organized Crime and the National Security Agency are involved in establishing the scale of the damage, the Minister said.

"The attack could have been from anywhere and from the outside," said he.
