Parliament Wednesday voted on first reading amendments to the Commercial Register and the Register of Non-Profit Legal Entities Act introduced by the Council of Ministers.

The amendments transpose some of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2017/1132 as regards the use of digital tools and processes in company law. Companies will not be required to submit the same data to public authorities more than once and data will be exchanged between Member States' business registers through the Business Registers Interconnection System (BRIS).
