site.btaEnvironment Minister Borislav Sandov Discusses Aspects of the Circular Economy with Bulgarian Industrial Association

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov, the leadership of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) and its member organizations discussed the challenges of the transition to a circular economy, the press centre of the Ministry of Environment and Water said on Thursday.

The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint the team of the ministry with the initiative CRIC - Circular Economy, implemented jointly by BIA and interested industry organizations, as well as the initiative Plastic Pact Bulgaria, which will be officially launched in spring.

Minister Sandov stressed the importance of the transition to a circular economy and the improvement of resource efficiency, calling on business representatives to also set goals for the transition to a biological economy, which is expected to be a reality in the near future.
