The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,088,520, after 6,559 tests identified 724 new infections on Sunday, according to data posted early on Monday on https://coronavirus.bg/. It makes a test positivity rate of 11 per cent.

The active cases are 218,694. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 4,268, including 503 in intensive care. Of the 138 hospital admissions, 86.23 per cent were not vaccinated.

Another 2,458 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 834,344.

Twenty-four fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 35,482.

With 554 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,297,604 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
