The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,091,279, after 22,417 tests identified 2,759 new infections on Monday, according to data posted early on Tuesday on https://coronavirus.bg/. It makes a test positivity rate of 12.3 per cent.

The active cases are 215,521. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 3,918, including 473 in intensive care. Of the 467 hospital admissions, 87.8 per cent were not vaccinated.

Another 5,833 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 840,177.

Ninety-nine fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 35,581.

With 2,902 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,300,503 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
