site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,104 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 12.8%

A total of 1,104 new COVID-19 cases were identified on Thursday by 8,643 tests. The test positivity rate is 12.8 per cent, show data posted on coronavirus.bg. 

Twenty people with COVID-19 have died on Thursday, 19 of whom were not vaccinated. The total death toll adds up to 35,716. 

A total of 71.29 per cent of new cases were not vaccinated. 

The total number of registered cases since the start of the pandemic is 1,097,29, of which 212,790 are active. The number of hospitalized patients is 3,445, of whom 436 are in intensive care. The new hospital admissions of COVID-19 patients on Thursday were 112, of which 84.82 were not vaccinated. 

A total of 766 recoveries were reported for the day, bringing the total number to 848,792. 

A total of 4,305,855 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far, including 243 on Thursday. A total of 2,047,267 people have been fully vaccinated, including 691,874 who have received a booster dose.
