site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 1,388 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 12.99%

A total of 1,388 new COVID-19 cases were identified on Saturday by 10,687 tests. The test positivity rate is 12.99 per cent, show data posted on coronavirus.bg.

Twenty-one people with COVID-19 have died on Saturday, of whom 18 were not vaccinated. The total death toll adds up to 35,811.

Close to 70 per cent of new cases were not vaccinated.

The total number of registered cases since the start of the pandemic is 1,100,811, of which 211,620 are active. The number of hospitalized patients is 3,175, of whom 416 are in intensive care. The new hospital admissions of COVID-19 patients on Saturday were 163, of whom 91 per cent were not vaccinated.

A total of 1,381 recoveries were reported for the day, bringing their number to 853,380.

A total of 4,310,149 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far, including 849 on Saturday. A total of 2,048,860 people have been fully vaccinated, including 694,408 who have received a booster dose.
