site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 2,462 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 11.26%

Sofia, March 8 (BTA) - A total of 2,462 new COVID-19 cases were identified by 21,858 tests on Monday. The test positivity rate stands at close to 11.26 per cent, show data posted on coronavirus.bg.

A total of 91 people with COVID-19 have died and 5,894 have recovered from the disease. The number of new hospital admissions on Monday is 362, bringing the total hospitalized patients with COVID-19 to 2,966, of whom 374 are in intensive care. 

The share of unvaccinated is as follows: 89.01 per cent of deaths, 74.25 per cent of new infections and 85.08 per cent of new hospital admissions. A total of 2,105 vaccines were administered on Monday, the data show.
