According to preliminary data, in February 2022 the Industrial Production Index, seasonally adjusted, decreased by 0.8 per cent compared to January 2022, the National Statistical Institute said here on Friday.
In February 2022, the calendar adjusted Industrial Production Index rose by 14.5 per cent in comparison with the same month of 2021.
On an annual basis in February 2022, Industrial Production Index calculated from calendar adjusted data, rose in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 28.7 per cent, in the mining and quarrying industry - by 16.9 per cent, and in manufacturing - by 11.9 per cent.
The most significant growth in the manufacturing compared to the same month of the previous year was registered in other manufacturing - by 59.6 per cent, in the manufacture of wood and of products of wood and cork, except furniture; manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting materials - by 30.4 per cent, in the manufacture of beverages - by 29.4 per cent, in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products - by 25.9 per cent, in the in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products - by 24.9 per cent and in the manufacture of other transport equipment - by 24.7 per cent.
A major decrease was seen in the manufacture of tobacco products - by 12.2 per cent.
