Bulgaria's best tennis player, Grigor Dimitrov, reached the semifinals in the prestigious Monte Carlo Masters 1000 tournament with a win over eleventh seed Hubert Hurkacz (Poland) – 6:4, 3:6, 7:6(2). The Bulgarian, a world No. 29, will next meet Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (Spain).

Dimitrov lost in his solo encounter with the Spaniard until now with 4:6, 6:7(2) at the Masters in Rome last year. If he wins tomorrow, the Bulgarian is guaranteed to reclaim a spot in the Top 20 of the ATP Rankings.
