site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 151 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 5.9%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,159,301, after 2,577 tests identified 151 new infections on Sunday, 66.23% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 5.9%.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 53 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 10 cases. Sofia Region and Pazardzhik Region both have 9.

Another 138 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 989,372.

Seven fatalities were reported (unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 36,973.

With 75 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,386,339 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,056,698 people are fully vaccinated, and 749,341 have received a booster jab.
