The infrastructure in the Bolgrad region was significantly damaged after the shelling in the Odessa region on Sunday night and in the morning, the deputy chairman of the Association of Bulgarians in Ukraine told BTA on Monday, citing the Odessa regional prosecution service. Some of the residents of Artsyz and Tarutyne municipalities are without electricity and water supply. Three civilians were hospitalized with injuries.
On the night of May 8, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out missile attacks on infrastructure sites in the Bolhrad region of Odessa region, ignoring the norms of international humanitarian law, the investigation shows.
Tens of thousands of Bulgarians live in the Bolhrad region, the largest Bulgarian community in Ukraine.
