A Norwegian national was detained in Stara Zagora (Southwestern Bulgaria) on May 31 by the State Agency for National Security (SANS) and the Interior Ministry as part of an international counter-terrorism operation. He is being investigated by the Norwegian authorities for membership in a terrorist organization, preparation of a terrorist attack and incitement to terrorism.
