Interviewed on Bulgarian National Radio Thursday, Stefan Manov of the Public Council at the Central Election Commission (CEC) explained how the use of outdated population statistics for the allocation of seats will lead to violations of equal voting power in all constituencies at Bulgaria's upcoming parliamentary elections.

The Continue the Change party of former prime minister Kiril Petkov and former finance minister Assen Vassilev will run independently in the early parliamentary elections on October 2. The decision was taken by the formation’s National Council after thorough analyses.

Twenty-four political parties and seven coalitions of parties submitted documents to the Central Election Commission (CEC) by Wednesday's deadline for participation in Bulgaria's early parliamentary elections on October 2, 2022.
