site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 165 New Cases Confirmed, Test Positivity Rate at 14.3%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,248,200 after 1,157 tests identified 165 new infections on Sunday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate for the day was 14.26%.

Sofia City tops the list of new cases with 57 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 12 cases and Burgas Region with 10.

The active cases are 11,424. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 627, including 35 in intensive care. Of the 10 new hospital admissions on Sunday, 70% were not vaccinated.

Another 47 COVID-19 patients recovered on Sunday, bringing the total to 1,199,130. No fatalities were reported, and the death toll remains at 37,646.

With 19 new inoculations in 24 hours, 4,530,350 vaccine doses have been administered so far. A total of 2,070,322 people have received two doses, 872,564 a booster and 66,675 a second booster.
