site.btaEdmond Nazaryan Eliminates Olympic Runner-up and Qualifies for World Wrestling Championship Finals

Wresler Edmond Nazaryan advanced to the finals in the 60kg freestyle category at the World Wrestling Championships in the Serbian capital Belgrade after defeating last year's Olympic runner-up Kenichiro Fumita on Monday.

Nazaryan lost the first point, received a full five in the first part alone. Fumita gradually came back with penalty points for the passivity of the Bulgarian national, who, however, maintained an advantage at 5:5 and a more technical grip.

Nazaryan held onto his lead in the final minute and will compete for the gold medal against Zholaman Sharshenbekov of Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday.
