Stiliana Nikolova's medal harvest at the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Sofia grew more abundant on Thursday after she reaped another two silvers in the apparatus finals, at clubs and ribbon. On Wednesday, the 17-year-old Bulgarian won the silver in the hoop finals. Nikolova has never competed in world championships before.

In the clubs event, she scored 32.600 points, including 16.400 for difficulty, 8.250 for artistry and 7.950 for execution. Despite dropping her apparatus once, she made a very dynamic performance of high artistic value, with wonderful pirouettes. The clubs gold went to Germany's Darja Varfolomeev (33.550), and the bronze to Italy's Sofia Raffaeli (31.850).

At ribbon, the Bulgarian scored 31.850 points (14.700 for difficulty, 8.650 for artistry and 8.500 for execution). The ribbon gold was awarded to Sofia Raffaeli (32.650), and the bronze to Slovenia's Ekaterina Vedeneeva (29.900).

The World Championships at Arena Armeec in Sofia (September 14-18) are the first qualifying competition in rhythmic gymnastics for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The top three in the individual all-around division and in the group division will earn quotas for the Olympics.
