Speaking at the opening Friday of a general meeting of the administrative heads of prosecution offices, Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev said that the crime situation is serious in certain places, with crime "reaching the level in the late 1990s".  According to Geshev, the reasons for this are "objective: economic, social, and other".
