Parliament to Vote New Chairperson on Thursday
The new Bulgarian legislature will sit Thursday at 10.00 a.m. to try and elect a chairperson after four voting sessions in two procedures failed to do so on Wednesday, when none of the candidates got the required support of a simple majority among the attending MPs. Under the Bulgarian Constitution, the first sitting of a new Parliament must elect a chairperson and deputy chairpersons.
