site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 619 New Cases Confirmed, Test Positivity Rate at 11.6%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,276,765 after 5,360 tests identified 619 new infections on Wednesday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate for the day was 11.55%. Out of all new cases, 58.16% were of unvaccinated persons.

The active cases are 9,891. Currently, hospitalized patients number 710, including 56 in intensive care. Of the 100 new hospital admissions on Wednesday, 68% were not vaccinated.

Another 601 COVID-19 patients recovered, bringing the total to 1,229,021.

Six fatalities were reported on Wednesday (83.33% of them unvaccinated), the death toll reaching 37,853.

With 1,254 new inoculations on Wednesday, 4,575,563 vaccine doses have been administered so far.
