site.btaCOVID-19 Update: 77 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 7.73%

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,283,672, after 996 tests identified 77 new infections on Sunday, 64.94% of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 7.73%.

One fatality was reported, bringing the death toll to 37,954. A total of 94 patients have recovered Sunday, bringing the total recoveries to 1,237,463.  

The active cases are 8,155. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 554, including 57 in intensive care. Seven of the eight new hospital admissions were not vaccinated.

With nine new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,587,719 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,073,722 people are fully vaccinated, and 925,327 have received a booster jab (including 52,758 with a second booster).
