Bulgarian Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov will host the annual South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial (SEDM) meeting in Sofia from November 16 to 18, the Defence Ministry said in a press release Wednesday. It is organized by Bulgaria within the Bulgarian Chairmanship of the SEDM Process under the leadership of Deputy Defence Minister Teodora Genchovska, who will moderate the forum.
Among the participants are the defence ministers of Romania, Georgia and Moldova, as well as representatives of the defence ministries of the member countries.
The discussions will focus on the progress achieved in and the opportunities for further development of the SEDM Process, as well as current matters of regional cooperation in the field of security and defence. This year's forum will also focus on the events in independent Ukraine, the press release reads.
