Regional Development Minister Ivan Shishkov said on Friday that if builders worked at a fast pace, the proposed construction completion date for Bulgaria's interconnector with Greece would most likely be met. He spoke to the media after a meeting held by President Rumen Radev on the commissioning of the interconnector.
Greece's Avax Group Executive Director Antonios Mitzalis said at the meeting that construction would be completed by September 7 or 8.
The Regional Development Ministry has posted photos of the problem areas on its website for all Bulgarians to see. Those areas will be monitored daily, Shishkov said, adding that as of Friday, some of them were starting to be sorted out.
