The State Consolidation Company (SCC) Executive Director presented the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov with a report on the status of the company and the irregularities identified there so far. Some of the circumstances are already known to the public, the Ministry reported on Friday.
The audit at the SCC is currently ongoing. Due to the complete sabotage of the company processes and the flaws found in the work so far, Smilyana Nitova was dismissed from the Board of Directors. Also dismissed are Daniel Milev and Mihail Kumchev.
They were replaced on the Board of Directors by Vladimir Dimitrov, a lawyer with many years of experience in public administration; Borislava Peneva, an employee of the Ministry of Economy and Industry; and Andrey Lalov, an economist and analyst with experience in SMEs and investment.
By order of Minister Stoyanov, personnel changes were also made in the National Company Industrial Zones. The main reasons for this are to improve the company's market presence in order to increase domestic and foreign investment and attract project-based financing.
The company's management will see the return of Antoaneta Bares, who managed the company over the last five years, under five different governments.
Konstantin Palaveev, Radostina Sitova, and Daniela Uzunova will also join the Board of Directors.
