Innovations and Growth Minister Alexander Pulev on Wednesday visited the factory for electric components of Schneider Electric in Plovdiv. At a meeting with the factory management he discussed the future investment plans of the company.
“Currently we are expanding operations. We are planning more investments after the expansion,” the leadership of the company said. They specified that it currently employs over 850 people but with the expansion will open another 100 jobs by mid-2023.
Schneider Electric is a leader in the digital transformation of the energy management and automation and global manufacturer of electrical components.
Six projects have been certified since the beginning of the year under the Investment Promotion Act worth BGN 229 million, which will open 1,500 new jobs in the region of Plovdiv.
