Bulgaria and North Macedonia will intensify the exchange of school and university students and teachers. They will sign a memorandum of cooperation between their national agencies for the EU Erasmus+ Programme. This transpired at a meeting of the Joint Working Group on Culture, Tourism, Education, Science, Youth and Sports, held in Skopje, the Bulgarian Education and Science Ministry reported on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Bulgaria's Education and Science Minister Nikolai Denkov.

The two countries will also cooperate in the field of dual education (education plus apprenticeship). The heads of their higher schools will hold a joint meeting.

"There are very good traditions in the field of education between our two countries. These practices will be developed further through the youth mobilities we have planned and through active work between our higher schools," Denkov told a news conference after the meeting.
