North Macedonia's President Stevo Pendarovski Monday met with the ambassadors of the Visegrad Group's four member states in Skopje. The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Poland to North Mcedonia Wojciech Tyciński, Ambassador of Czechia Jaroslav Ludva, Ambassador of of Slovakia Henrik Markus and Ambassador of Hungary Laszlo Istvan.
Pendarovski said that given the current geopolitical circumstances, the unblocking of North Macedonia's European integration and the immediate start of negotiations for the accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to the EU are crucial for long-term stability and security in the region.
The interlocutors expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation between the countries of the Visegrad Group and the Western Balkans region, as well as to ensure the efficiency and visibility of funds from the Western Balkans Fund for development and support of the region. They exchanged views on the possible security consequences of Russia's actions on the wider region, as well as on the economic consequences and ways to address the challenges, the press service of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia said in a statement.
