Innovations and Growth Minister Daniel Lorer discussed with Kosovo’s Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli ways to deepen cooperation in the information and communication technology (ITC) sector, as well as exchange of experience and perspectives for increasing the investment capacity in the private sector in the field of innovations between the two countries, Lorer’s Ministry reported here on Wednesday.
Lorer noted during the meeting that the technology sector is the most progressively developing sector in Bulgaria, which has marked three-fold growth in recent years.
Artane Rizvanolli noted that Kosovo has significant potential and could become an important regional business partner for Bulgarian technology and innovation companies, as well as to provide opportunities for implementing new business endeavors, the press release said.
The two ministers stressed the potential for cooperation in the ICT sector and partnerships between SMEs from both countries.
Lorer and Rizvanolli also discussed support for start-ups, technology transfers and opportunities for creating bilateral programmes for encouraging joint innovative projects, the Bulgarian Innovations and Growth Ministry said.
A Bulgarian-Kosovar business forum was held earlier on Wednesday at Sofia Tech Park, organized by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency. Over 50 high-tech and innovation companies from both countries took part in the forum.
