On the last day of the four-day Easter break , the Interior Ministry Monday reports heavy traffic on the Sofia-bound motorways, as well as from neighbouring Greece and Turkey to Bulgaria.
A 10-km line of vehicles formed on Trakia Motorway after it was closed for an hour due to a crash some 25 km from Sofia in the early afternoon. The crash involved three cars but no one was seriously injured.
Heavy incoming traffic is reported via the Kulata and Makaza checkpoints on the border with Greece, as well outbound traffic at the border crossings with Romania at Vidin, Rousse and Durankulak. At the Kalotina border crossing, traffic is intense through the exit for heavy-duty trucks. Many people are returning from Turkey and the border crossings at Kapitan Andreevo, Lessovo and Malko Tarnovo get heavy traffic.
