site.btaBTA, Montenegrin News Agency Sign Cooperation Agreement
BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and Montenegrin News Agency (MINA) Director General Jasa Jovicevic signed a partnership agreement in Podgorica on Monday, whereby the two news agencies mutually grant and guarantee the right to receive, use, translate and disseminate the full set of news services free of charge, except materials that contain works subject to copyright to third parties.
The two news agencies will exchange one news item every day about a significant event, accompanied by a photo, that they will publish for free for all visitors to the respective sites, with explicit reference to the sources.
The agreement also envisages joint activities, exchange of experience, and professional visits by journalists and other media professionals.
Valchev said that BTA already has five such agreements with Balkan agencies: with MIA of North Macedonia, Agerpres of Romania, ANA-MPA of Greece, Kosovapress of Kosovo, and ATA of Albania.
He noted that in September Bulgaria will host the 30th General Assembly of the Association of the Balkan News Agencies - Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE), where this practice of information exchange will be proposed among all Balkan agencies.
The Bulgarian Ambassador to Montenegro, Meglena Plugchieva, also attended the signing of the agreement between the two Balkan agencies, which took place on the day of Europe.
