Bulgarian universities presented the opportunities they offer before students of the University of Montenegro. The opening of Tuesday’s education fair was attended by representatives of the Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, the University of Economics in Varna, as well as the Higher Institute of Insurance and Finance (VUZF). Bulgarian News Agency Director General Kiril Valchev was also a guest of the event.
Addressing the education fair at the opening, Bulgarian Ambassador to Montenegro Meglena Plugchieva said Montenegrin projects worth EUR 320,000 with the support of the Bulgarian state are currently being implemented in the country. These cover fields like public health, environment and education, mainly in the northern parts of the country like Bijelo Polje, Pljevlja and Danilovgrad, among others.
The participants in the event were also addressed by the Rector of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr Vladimir Bozovic.
“The entire region needs Montenegro as a good example,” said MEP Andrey Kovatchev, head of the Bulgarian delegation in the European People’s Party Group, who was in the country for Europe Day as well as political meetings. “The idea of one Europe is to get to know each other and be united in diversity,” he added.
Albena Grigorova and Desislava Gusheva of Sofia University’s Education Department presented the programmes of Bulgaria’s oldest alma mater, while VUZF was presented by its Rector, Prof. Boris Velchev.
