A delegation of Bulgaria's Constitutional Court led by its President Pavlina Panova is paying an official working visit to the Republic of North Macedonia on May 18-21, the Court said.

The two countries' Constitutional Courts signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation on Wednesday. The framework agreement is intended to deepen cooperation through programmes which promote collegial relations, institutional capacity and comparative studies, as well as through sharing experience and good practices. Bulgarian Ambassador Angel Angelov attended the meeting.

North Macedonia's President Stevo Pendarovski received the two delegations.

The visit by the Bulgarian constitutional judges marks the start of the fourth series of bilateral meetings aimed at experience and opinion sharing and continuing the excellent cooperation between the two Constitutional Courts at all levels over many years, Bulgaria's Court said.
