site.btaTurkish, Bulgarian Police Seize 30 Kg Drugs, Arrest Ten

Ten persons, including two Bulgarians, were arrested by Turkish authorities in Istanbul in a joint operation against drug trafficking with Bulgarian police, the Haberler.com e-zine reported.

After the Turkish Department of Combating Narcotic Crimes was alerted about a network associated with Bulgaria, joint action was undertaken by the relevant services of both countries.

The investigation of the prosecution in Istanbul's Kucukcekmece was followed by the joint operation and the arrests of the ten perpetrators, including the two Bulgarian nationals.

A villa in the Silivri residential area was searched which was used as a drug and stimulant pill synthesis center and over 30 kg of solid and liquid chemical drugs and stimulants were seized, 50 g of marijuana and 1 precision balance.

Six of the arrested remained in remand, four were released on condition of judicial control.
