30th ABNA-SE General Assembly

site.btaUPDATED BTA Hosts 30th General Assembly of Association of the Balkan News Agencies - Southeast Europe

The 30th General Assembly of the Association of the Balkan News Agencies - Southeast Europe (ABNA-SE) hosted by the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) took place in Burgas on Monday under the motto "Together for TRUE News". 

The opening was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Pekanov, Tourism Minister Ilin Dimitrov and Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov. BTA Director General Kiril Valchev opened the event. 

Participating are:

Albania: ATA Director General Valbona Zhupa, Editor-in-Chief Almarina Gegvataj and World News Editor-in-Chief Arian Jorgaqi;

Bosnia and Herzegovina: FENA Director General Elmir Huremovic and Deputy Director General Ilija Musa; SRNA Editor-in-Chief Dunja Pasalic;

Bulgaria: BTA Director General Kiril Valchev, Deputy Director General Evgenia Droumeva and Secretary General Julia Sokolova;

Croatia: HINA Editor-in-Chief Serdo Obratov;

Cyprus: CNA International Relations Officer Marianna Mela;

Greece: ANA-MPA Director-General Aimilios Perdikaris and Editor-in-Chief Sofia Papadopoulou (ABNA Secretariat);

Kosovo: KosovaPress owner Skender Krasniqi, Director General Suzana Rakovica and Editor-in-Chief Ideal Gola;

Montenegro: MINA Director-General Jasa Jovicevic;

Republic of North Macedonia: MIA Director General Dragan Antonovski, Deputy Director General Halit Ajdini and Editor-in-Chief Ana Cvetkovska;

Romania: Agerpres Deputy Director-General Cristina-Michaela Tatu and Public Relations Officer Alexandra Stefan;

Turkey: Anadolu Agency Deputy Director-General Yusuf Ozhan, Project Management Coordinator Oguz Karakas and International Relations Senior Specialist Eren Erciyas;

Italy (observer): ANSA Head of Digital and International Marketing and Sales Silvestri Luigi.

Balkan news agencies gather in this format once a year. The 29th General Assembly of ABNA-SE took place in the Kosovo capital of Pristina in 2021.
